Terms of use

On this page

Effective September 23, 2026. Version 1.

These terms apply when you review or sign a document with Paradoc Sign. Paradoc Sign is operated by Paradoc AI, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Paradoc", "we", "us").

Before you sign, we show you a link to these terms and to our privacy policy. You accept these terms when you agree to sign electronically and continue.

What Paradoc Sign does

Paradoc Sign lets a person or business (the "sender") send you a document to review and sign online. We provide the signing tool. We are not a party to the document, and we do not check or endorse what it says.

Questions about the document, its terms, or the agreement it records go to the sender. The sender's name and email address appear in your invitation and on the signing page.

Signing electronically

Before you sign, we ask for your consent to use electronic records and signatures. When you give it, you agree that:

  • Your electronic signature has the same effect as a handwritten one, where the law allows it
  • You receive the document and related notices electronically
  • You can view, download, and keep a copy of the signed document

In the EU and UK, a signature made with Paradoc Sign is a simple electronic signature under the eIDAS Regulation. It is not an advanced or qualified electronic signature.

You can ask the sender for a paper copy, or for another way to sign. The sender may charge a fee for a paper copy. Ask the sender what it is. You can withdraw your consent by telling the sender. Documents you already signed stay valid.

You can decline to sign at any time before you submit. We ask you for a reason, and the sender is told.

Some documents cannot be signed electronically under the law that applies to them. The sender is responsible for choosing the right way to sign.

Your signing link is unique to you. Do not share it or forward the invitation email. Anyone with the link may be able to open the document, although the sender can require an email code or an access code.

If you think someone else has your link, contact the sender.

Your responsibilities

When you use Paradoc Sign, you agree to:

  • Be at least 18, or the age of legal capacity where you live
  • Sign only documents addressed to you, and only as yourself
  • Give accurate information in the document's fields
  • Not interfere with or try to get around the security of the service
  • Not use Paradoc Sign for anything unlawful
  • Not use Paradoc Sign if you are in a country under US sanctions, or on a US sanctions list

We may block a signing link or suspend access to stop fraud, abuse, or unlawful use. Where the law requires it, we tell you why.

Payments

Some senders ask for a payment as part of signing. The payment goes to the sender and is between you and the sender. Our payment processor, Stripe, handles your card details.

Records

We keep the signed document and an audit trail of each signing step, as our privacy policy describes. When everyone has signed, the sender and every signer get an email with the completed documents and the completion certificate. The link in that email works for 30 days. After that, ask the sender for a copy.

Accessibility

If you cannot use Paradoc Sign because of a disability, tell the sender or email legal@paradoc.dev. We will help you find another way to sign.

Disclaimers

We provide Paradoc Sign "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service is always available or free of errors.

If you are a consumer, you may have rights under the law where you live that these terms cannot change.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Paradoc is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for the content or effect of any document signed with Paradoc Sign. Our total liability to you for any claim about Paradoc Sign is limited to US$100.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for gross negligence or willful misconduct, or for anything else the law does not let us limit.

If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, we are responsible for loss you suffer that was a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Disputes go to the state and federal courts in Delaware.

If you are a consumer in the EU, the UK, or another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in its courts.

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms, we post the new version on this page with the date it takes effect. The terms in effect when you signed a document apply to that signing.

General

If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms and our privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Paradoc Sign. They do not change the document you sign, which is between you and the sender.
